Chaco Canyon Bowl
$ 97.56
I bought this prehistoric bowl about 30 years ago at a Skinner auction in Massachusetts. It was identified by the auction house as from Chaco Canyon. According to an on line source, Chaco Canyon was a major center of Puebloan culture from approximately AD 850 to 1250. The bowl is 7 1/2″ wide and 2 3/4″ deep. There are no cracks but there are chips on one section of the rim. The designs in the center may be crescent moons.
